What is Walk and Talk Therapy?

divider-free-img.png

With Walk and Talk Therapy instead of meeting online, we will meet and have therapy while walking together in nature. It is a mindfulness oriented approach which can help with releasing tension, decrease rumination, increase \energy and reduce symptoms of depression and anxiety.

Another benefit is I can help you use mindfulness in nature which can be very relaxing.

Although I cannot guarantee the same confidentiality with walk and talk therapy as I can with traditional therapy, its highly unlikely that others will hear our conversation.

We can watch our volume and be mindful of others as we talk about sensitive topics.

I live in Garner, NC  where I have my online sessions so this will take place at Lake Benson Park, if I am able to offer an occasional Raleigh park I will keep you posted!
**This is all dependent on the weather, if we can’t meet due to weather we can do an online session.

I offer Walk and Talk Therapy Thursday at 8:30am or 1:00pm twice a month so these will be limited. In the spring I  will  offer an evening time of 5:30pm on Wednesday how often TBD

Walk And Talk FAQs

Does insurance cover it?
Unfortunately it does not, I charge my regular fee for these sessions of $140.

Do I have to be fit to participate?
Nope! This can be more of a gentle walk and I will follow your lead on how far you want to walk or if you need to take breaks. Of course checking with your Primary care Dr. is always a good idea before starting Walk and Talk Therapy
