Anxious thoughts seem to swoop into your mind on a daily basis and seem to have a hold on you no matter what you do to stop them. You are tired of feeling "stuck" and not able to move forward past the difficult events and traumas of your life. Other people don't seem to understand why you can't move on and just "let it go." The anxiety you feel gets overwhelming at times and you wonder if it will ever decrease.

What is Brainspotting?
Brainspotting is a treatment approach which helps by identifying, processing, and releasing stored negative or traumatic experiences from the brain to help affected individuals heal from within. Brainspotting is based on the idea that where you look affects how you feel. In a session, I teach you how the brainspotting process works and how it taps into your brain to increase your bodies natural abillity to heal itself.
I guide you to find "brainspots" using a pointer or find what's called a "gazespot" (a spot you naturally look at in your visual field as you are talking)to help connect to a traumatic memory or trigger situation, Clients have the option to use biolateral sound through headphones to further assist with processing. emotion, or trigger situation. Through mindful flow, you keep your eyes on a spot and allow any thoughts, feelings, sensations or images to just flow and stay in the moment to fully process.
Brainspotting helps you to reprocess negative experiences or emotions and help you move through "stuck" spots in your life. Brainspotting gives us a tool, within this clinical relationship, to neurobiologically locate, focus, process, and release experiences and symptoms that are typically out of reach of the conscious mind and its cognitive and language capacity.
Is it Effective?
It is much more effective than regular talk therapy. It can help you release the anxiety and trauma that is holding you back from living your best life. It can help you gain the confidence to pursue your goals and live a happier life no longer filled with daily anxiety. I have been using Brainspotting with clients since January 2020 with absolutely amazing results. I find the success in Brainspotting occurs quicker because you can access the deeper layers of the brain that regular talk therapy cannot.
